[ it wasn't actually the footsteps of Murasa leaving that woke her. but after a while... there were other ways for a person to realize that they were suddenly totally alone, even without being fully conscious to recognize it. the absence of another's warmth and breath startled her into wakefulness moments after Murasa descended downstairs.
