[this could begin with an unbearably long exposition about how Isuke failed the mission— but survived!— and went back home disgraced but still loved by her parents because who doesn't love happy endings?? and who doesn't love happy endings where it turns out the protagonist (antagonist? whatever) actually lives pretty close to her friend-rival-girlfriend-enemy thing idk what's going on there but it's. pretty gay. probably. and they can have gay visits with each other whenever they want and everyone was happy, sort of.
it could begin like that, sure, but instead let's start with Isuke and Haruki sitting in Isuke's bedroom, doing each other's nails. it's a totally nice bedroom because her parents seem well off. and also because I say so.]
... Mm, I don't like it. [she holds her hand up, scrutinizing Haruki's job (which is actually more or less fine). Isuke knows it's fine, too, but she's going to be a pain just for the sake of it.
